The Grafton Media Blog Awards Ireland are about bringing together the Irish online community to celebrate blogging in Ireland. As we all know, blogging is hugely influential when it comes to word of mouth marketing and can greatly increase a business’s reach and reputation both online and offline. Blogs also offer people the chance to get out there and be creative in a time where it can sometimes feel like that’s not a priority.
The Awards cover 30 categories, including such diverse topics as Best Political Blog, Best Popculture Blog and Best Blog of a SME Business, so there’s plenty of scope for bloggers and blog fans to get involved and nominate blogs for awards. Nominations are currently open, check the website for the full list of categories and click to nominate your favourite blog.
The Grafton Media Blog Awards Ireland 2012 are being organised by the trio of Amanda Webb from Spiderworking.com and co-founder of KLCK Blogging Network. Beatrice Whelan, an award-winning web designer and now Social Media and Content Specialist at Sage Ireland, and Lorna Sixsmith of Garrendenny Lane and Write on Track. They are all former blogging finalists in the Social Media Awards themselves and we are proud to be supporting them with this event. The Grafton Media Blog Awards Ireland 2012 are being held in Osprey Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare on Saturday 13th October 2012. There will be a gala dinner, Dermot Whelan is M.C. and there are some surprises promised as well. Nominations are now open but they close on 16th July 2012 so get to it!
